No more NBA this year

(LOCKED!, Unfortunately, there is no key)

This is a sad day to be an NBA fan. TODAY, I have finally convinced myself and I finally bought in to the idea that THERE WILL BE NO NBA this year. I've read hundreds of report since last year about the possible NBA lockout. I didn't believe it back then, until it happened. Then, when the NBA lockout started, I still believed that it will eventually be resolved, and that the NBA season will commence on-time. Oh boy I was wrong again! Things just got worse and worse each day that the NBA Player's Union and the NBA team owners (led by NBA Commissioner David Stern) tried to negotiate and strike a deal. Getting into the exact details and terminologies would be a waste of time. I'll try to explain it in layman's term for my sake and every reader's sake.

The NBA team owners wanted no less than a 50-50 split in revenue. The NBA players initially wanted a 53-50 split (in favor of the players), but after months of negotiation, they were already willing to bite on the 50-50 proposition of the owners. Everything seemed smooth, and the NBA season looked like it was going to be saved. Reporters covering the NBA lockout were all saying that a deal was close. Apparently, they just got the fans' hopes up. The negotiation broke down again when the owners didn't want to fix certain system issues like the Mid-Level exception, bi-annual exception and other salary related issues. The players rejected the owner's offer once and for all. So now, we officially have NO NBA this year. In a nutshell, this is what the NBA lockout is all about and how it came about.

There may be no NBA season this year (still not 100% sure, because a miracle can still happen), but NBA fans shouldn't be sad because there's still NBA 2k12 for us! Make sure you buy this NBA 2k12 (Lockout Edition). There are a lot of unlock-able players, like NBA Commissioner David Stern, who reportedly has a 99 rating in this game. You can still use your favorite teams and players, but the names at the back of their jersey are not visible and their faces are all generic.

Naaaaaaah... There's really an NBA 2k12, functioning well and no David Stern (though I hope they do put him in the game for lulz).
